The Library Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Portsmouth Free Public Library. Meetings are held in accordance with the R. I. Open Meetings Law (S 242 Sub B) and the public is invited to attend.
Library Board meetings are usually held at 7 PM on the first Monday of the month unless otherwise noted and are held in the Mello Program Room. The 2011 schedule of Library Board meetings follows:
